Experience the grandeur and history of Paris from a breathtaking perspective by visiting the magnificent Arc de Triomphe!
It’s not the most exciting destination in France – in-fact, it’s pretty damn boring. The Arc de Triomphe has significant historical value and cultural value and its proximity to other great attractions makes worthy of a spot on your “places to take selfies” list while visiting Paris.
European history buffs will appreciate the Arc de Triomphe – it’s located in the middle of Place Charles de Gaulle, an intersection of 12 avenues around the monument in the middle of Paris!
The monument was constructed in the early 18th century to honor those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars and stands tall today in the middle of a bustling city full of cars, buses and mopeds. Literally, it’s a big ass monument in the middle of a traffic circle with shitty French people driving like maniacs.
The flip side to this boring attraction is that you can grab a bite to eat from one of the dozens of authentic French cafes and bistros on the surrounding avenues. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect from an authentic Paris restaurant.

The Arc is an impressive structure and the historical significance is impressive; however, it’s just a monument in the middle of a very busy traffic circle.
